CRANBROOK IN BLOOM 2022
This is my fourth time being invited to Cranbrook part of Chelsea Fringe, the alternate garden festival. The whole high street is closed and local makers of food, drinks and everything crafty and country all gather to sell their wares...
CRANBROOK GOES NUTS IN MAY
This is a live painting job, meaning we have one day to create a masterpiece in the public space with the public as an audience. My assistant Zara and I worked really hard and created a stunning Squirrel. The theme for this 4th event was trees, so what better than the mighty oak as the backdrop for our red squirrel?
According to my commissioners a “fantastic result was pulled out of the bag again!” (So I think that means they liked it!!)
RAISING FUNDS
The general public really liked seeing the artwork progress over the day, and my charity U CAN Spray had a stall next door where the public could spraypaint a vinyl or a T shirt for a fee. The charity raised lots of money and so by the end of the day everyone was happy!
PROCESS
This mural took one day to create, see below the process of the painting! Live painting is a great thing to have at fetes and festivals as people of all ages love to watch the progress throughout the day and see artists at work.
GLAD TO BE BACK
All in all a lovely gig, and Im so glad to be back Live Painting after two years of no live festival work, due to Covid. I hope that events and gatherings never need to be stopped again because this kind of gathering is very important for small businesses but also for people to enjoy live music and to be immersed in fun activities which are so essential for our wellbeing!
