COMBAT STRESS NCS
Through my charity, U CAN Spray CIO, I was invited to facilitate a spray painting workshop in Burgess Hill for NCS as part of their Summer Activities. The young people had gained permission to create a mural by the war memorial and decided that the charity that they would like to represent is one which helps war veterans with PTSD, called Combat Stress.
I had just 3 hours to train the young people in the art of spraypainting plus create a finished piece that they would be proud of and one that is suitable for public display, which isnβt a long time to get such a great result.
The young people were really hard working and worked well as a team! They called themselves NCS - WE CAN COMBAT STRESS as a collective.
What an amazing result!! Why do I love helping young people to reach their creative goals? So they can go off and take the skills they've learned and feel confident to work as a team, make strong visual representations, and most of all, MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The fundraising and unveiling was a huge success with the local mayor coming along to support the young people with the launch of our mural. Find out about NCS (National Citizen Service) here.
